Perreo Pilates Hoboken: SpringSculpt Meets Latin Culture

Post Main Image

Perreo Pilates started during Hispanic Heritage Month as a one-off event. It sold out three weeks in a row and never left the schedule. If you have been looking for a reason to try Pilates that does not involve silence and dim lights, this is it.

What Happens in Perreo Pilates

The workout is a full 50-minute SpringSculpt class — Ken Pilates' signature springboard-based resistance method — with one difference: the music is high-energy Latin. Reggaeton, salsa, bachata, and everything in between. The energy in the room is different from a standard class. The movement is the same, the work is real, but the atmosphere is louder, more communal, and more fun.

After the class ends, the social hour begins. Drinks, conversation, and community. BYOB. The people who come to Perreo Pilates are not just there to work out — they are there to connect. It has built its own regular crowd of people who show up every week for both the class and what comes after it.

Who It Is For

All levels are welcome. You do not need prior SpringSculpt or Pilates experience — the class follows the same all-levels structure as the standard SpringSculpt Method. If you are new to Ken Pilates, Perreo Pilates is actually a great entry point because the energy of the room makes the first class easier to walk into.

It is also a genuinely good option for people who have avoided Pilates because it seems too quiet or too serious. Perreo Pilates is neither. You will still get a real workout. You will also have a real time.
