HotSprings Class Hoboken: Heated SpringSculpt Explained

Post Main Image

HotSprings is Ken Pilates' newest class and one of the fastest-growing on the schedule. If you have done SpringSculpt and wanted more intensity, or if you love the feel of a heated workout but want something more structured than hot yoga, this is the class.

What HotSprings Actually Is

HotSprings is 45 minutes of SpringSculpt — Ken Pilates' signature springboard-based resistance method — performed in a heated room. The heat amplifies everything. Your muscles warm up faster, your flexibility improves, and the sweat is real. The resistance training structure of SpringSculpt stays intact: you will work through core activation, glute sequences, shoulder stabilization, and full-body sculpting using springboards, rings, and bands. The heat is the addition, not a replacement for the work.

The combination produces something you do not often get in a single class: genuine strength work alongside the deep flexibility and detox benefits of training in heat. Most heated fitness classes sacrifice structure for sweat. HotSprings does not.

Who It Is For

HotSprings works for anyone who has already taken a few SpringSculpt classes and wants to push further. If you are brand new to Ken Pilates, start with SpringSculpt Method or SpringSculpt Fundamentals first — get familiar with the springboard and the movement patterns before adding heat. Once you have two or three classes under your belt, HotSprings is ready for you.

It is particularly popular with people who run hot, who want to maximize caloric output in a shorter session, and anyone who has hit a plateau in their regular Pilates practice and wants a new stimulus.

What to Wear and Bring

Grip socks are required. Lighter is better — a fitted tank and shorts or tight leggings will serve you well. Bring water. The room is warm and you will use it.
