About the role
Our Studio Crew are the heartbeat of the front desk in New York City. You're the first face members see, and the reason every class starts on time in a spotless, welcoming space. If you're warm, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced studio, this is a great way to join the Ken Pilates team.
What you'll do
- Check clients in for class across the Heated Room, Tower Room, and Private Room appointments
- Greet and orient first-time clients
- Answer client messages across email and text
- Handle membership requests (new sign-ups, freezes, cancellations, and upgrades) and troubleshoot booking or account issues
- Cancel classes that don't meet the booking minimum and notify affected clients
- Alert clients to schedule changes, including instructor swaps and cancellations
- Field instructor requests: subs, supply needs, and format-specific setup
- Reset each room for the next class, including props, lighting, and temperature per room type
- Disinfect mats, equipment, mirrors, and high-touch surfaces such as door handles, the front desk, lockers, and the water fountain
- Keep locker rooms, bathrooms, and showers tidy, stocked, and checked for lost items
- Vacuum and mop high-traffic areas, dust, and run laundry
- Manage inventory, print on request, and return all equipment and props to their labeled storage
Pay and benefits
- $17 to $20 per hour.
- Complimentary membership at our New York City studio.

What we're looking for
- Available for weekends and holidays
- Able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
- Warm, reliable, and detail-oriented, with clear written communication over email and text
- Comfortable learning our booking and POS system to check members in and schedule Private Room appointments
- Able to stay on your feet through a shift and lift or reset studio equipment
- Comfortable with studio-care tasks such as disinfecting, tidying, laundry, and restocking
Preferred qualifications
- Previous front-desk, hospitality, or studio experience (not required)
- Familiarity with fitness or wellness booking software
- A genuine love of Pilates and the Ken Pilates community
