About the role
A paid apprenticeship that trains you in the KP formats and develops you onto our teaching schedule. All instructors, at every experience level, start as paid apprentices. Your certification opens the door. Our coaching puts you on the schedule.
The apprenticeship

Complete the apprenticeship and join the schedule at the instructor rate card, with a path into group formats, private instruction, and leadership.
Our formats
- Infrared Heated Room: teach a signature Sculpt, Strength, or Pilates class in our very hot room, using a mat and props.
- Tower Room: teach up to 16 people on the latest Pilates Towers, across contemporary and strength-based formats.
- Private Studio: where your comprehensive certification comes in handy, teaching one-on-one on the full apparatus.
- Specialized Formats: Yoga? Ballet-Sculpt? Brazilian Zumba? If you have a special skill or experience you want to share with our community, we're all ears.
The process
- Apply. Resume plus a short note or 60-second video on why KP.
- Audition. A final interview step: teach a short demonstration for our management team only, built on principles we share in advance. It is an evaluation demo, not a paid class or a class with members.
- Offer. Apprentice Instructor: W-2, hourly, defined term.
- Apprentice. Coaching, observation, teaching labs.
- Teach. Join the schedule at the instructor rate card, with development toward privates as you grow.

Pay and benefits
- $17.00 per hour for all apprenticeship hours, including training, observation, coaching, and teaching labs. Not commission-based.
- Instructors who complete the apprenticeship move to the KP instructor rate card, which scales with performance.
- Complimentary membership at our New York City studio.
- W-2 employee position: paid sick leave, disability and paid family leave coverage, and the other benefits that come with being a true employee rather than a contractor.
What we're looking for
- Comprehensive Pilates certification (mat-only does not qualify; private studio work requires the full repertoire)
- For ZenSculpt: yoga certification + comprehensive Pilates certification
- Strong cueing, presence, and hands-on instincts
- Coachable, curious, committed to continuing education
- Availability for scheduled training hours during the apprenticeship term
